My exhibition False Flags: A Visual Remix is taking place at Revolution Mill in Greensboro next month. The show runs from April 13th thru May 20th with a reception on April 13th from 7pm.

I'm really excited about this show having been posting as False Flags on Instagram for the past year, or so. I feel that these images are made to be seen in print, so I can't wait to see how it works out. I've been a collector of images for over twenty-five years, from found thrift store photographs to pop ephemera.

False Flags: A Visual Remix is inspired by my love for pure aesthetics and the way images can create certain moods when combined. For example, a blue square is no longer seen as just a blue square when pushed next to a square of a different hue. Using a grid template, False Flags: A Visual Remix playfully sparks the imagination and encourages phantasy. In the words of Jean-Luc Godard "It's not where you take things from, it's where you take them to."
